BML is Transparent's Balanced MusicLink — XLR terminated, built on the same network-based topology that defines everything Transparent makes. The MM2 designation marks the second generation of their calibrated network: a passive filter module on the cable itself, tuned to the specific conductor geometry and length, that addresses the capacitance, inductance, and impedance characteristics Transparent argues conventional cables leave unmanaged. The argument isn't subtle — Transparent's position is that an unnetworked cable is an untreated cable, and that the noise and resonance it passes into your system is audible whether or not you've identified it as a cable problem. At the Super level, the network is more sophisticated than the Plus below it and the shielding and conductor quality step up accordingly. Balanced XLR at one meter is the right configuration for a preamp-to-amplifier run in a system where both components have balanced inputs and outputs worth using. The MM2 generation has since been superseded by newer network revisions, which is what makes a clean pair at this price the right moment to pick one up.

We offer a 3-day return window on all purchases. Returns made to a credit or debit card will incur a 5 percent processing fee. Shipping costs, both to and from, are the responsibility of the customer if applicable.
After the 3-day window and up to 3 weeks from the date of purchase, items may still be returned, subject to a 20 percent restocking fee.
For shipped orders, customers must notify us within 3 days of receiving the item to initiate a return. Once the item is received back in the same condition it was sent, we will issue a refund minus all shipping charges and a 5 percent credit card processing fee.
