Shunyata Research Sigma XC Power Cable — 6ft, C19
Shunyata builds power cables in Poulsbo, Washington, and the Sigma XC sits in their second tier from the top — below the Omega, above the Alpha, and designed specifically for high-current applications. The XC designation means eXtra Current: the C19 IEC connector on the component end handles 20 amps natively, making this the correct format for power amplifiers and power conditioners with high-current inlets that draw real current and respond to a cable that doesn't become a restriction under load.
The conductor is Shunyata's ArNi wire — a hollow-core VTX (Virtual Tube Geometry) design in fluoropolymer dielectric, developed to reduce the electromagnetic noise that conventional conductors generate and the high-frequency interference they pick up from adjacent equipment in a rack. KPIP treatment applied to the finished cable. CCI filtering built into the construction to address component-to-component interference without requiring an external filter in the chain. US plug on the wall end.
Six feet gives enough reach for most rack configurations without forcing a compromise on positioning, and without the excess that comes from going to a longer cable and coiling the remainder near the component.
