Schiit AEGIR Power Amplifier
Schiit's Continuity topology — their answer to the question of how to get Class A character without Class A heat and inefficiency. The Aegir runs in Class A up to its power envelope, then transitions without the crossover distortion artifacts that make conventional Class A/B sound like Class A/B. 20 watts per channel into 8 ohms, 40 into 4. That's not a lot on paper, but it's honest watts built on a circuit topology that sounds better at low power than most amplifiers sound at any power. Single-ended RCA and balanced XLR inputs, five-way binding posts. Bridgeable to mono for 80 watts if you need it. Built in California, priced like Schiit prices things — without the margin that pays for a brand story. If your speakers are efficient enough to work with 20 watts, the Aegir is worth a serious listen before you spend more.
