Nelson Pass designed the X.8 series around his Supersymmetry circuit topology — a fully balanced design that cancels distortion through circuit geometry rather than feedback. The X260.8 delivers 260 watts into 8 ohms per monoblock, 520 into 4. It runs high bias, which means it operates deep into Class A before transitioning — the thermal dissipation is real, the chassis runs warm, and that's the point. The first watts out of an X260.8 are Class A watts.
Dedicated monoblock chassis means a separate power supply per channel, no shared ground paths, and no inter-channel interference. The result is a noise floor and channel separation that a stereo amplifier can't match at any price. Balanced XLR and single-ended RCA inputs. Binding posts for single-wire or bi-wire runs.
Made in Auburn, California, by hand, in small numbers. Pass Labs has built a reputation over decades for amplifiers that age well — the X.8 series is the current iteration of that lineage.

We offer a 3-day return window on all purchases. Returns made to a credit or debit card will incur a 5 percent processing fee. Shipping costs, both to and from, are the responsibility of the customer if applicable.
After the 3-day window and up to 3 weeks from the date of purchase, items may still be returned, subject to a 20 percent restocking fee.
For shipped orders, customers must notify us within 3 days of receiving the item to initiate a return. Once the item is received back in the same condition it was sent, we will issue a refund minus all shipping charges and a 5 percent credit card processing fee.
