Pro-Ject Debut Carbon EVO Turntable with Ortofon 2M Red
The Debut Carbon EVO is what happens when Pro-Ject takes an already-right turntable and does the engineering work they skipped the first time. The original Debut Carbon was the deck that introduced a generation to the idea that a sub-$500 turntable could take records seriously. The EVO keeps everything that made it work — the 8.6" carbon fiber sandwich tonearm, the clean motor isolation, the MDF plinth — and addresses the shortcuts: improved platter, better isolation feet, electronic speed switching. The result is a turntable that sounds like it costs more than it does, which is the only thing that actually matters.
It ships with the Ortofon 2M Red. That's not an afterthought — the 2M Red is a genuine moving magnet cartridge that tracks well, images properly, and won't embarrass itself on a good system. Most decks at this price come with something worse. The pairing is intentional and it works.

We offer a 3-day return window on all purchases. Returns made to a credit or debit card will incur a 5 percent processing fee. Shipping costs, both to and from, are the responsibility of the customer if applicable.
After the 3-day window and up to 3 weeks from the date of purchase, items may still be returned, subject to a 20 percent restocking fee.
For shipped orders, customers must notify us within 3 days of receiving the item to initiate a return. Once the item is received back in the same condition it was sent, we will issue a refund minus all shipping charges and a 5 percent credit card processing fee.
