Jim Thiel built the CS3 around one idea he refused to compromise on: time coherence. Every driver on the same acoustic plane, first-order crossovers throughout, a sloped baffle that physically aligns the tweeter, midrange, and dual woofers so the sound arrives at your ears as a single coherent wavefront instead of a smeared series of arrivals. Most speaker designers treat time alignment as a nice-to-have. Thiel treated it as the whole point.
The result is a speaker that images with unusual precision and throws a soundstage that doesn't collapse when you move off-axis. The CS3 is a three-way design — 1-inch aluminum dome tweeter, 4-inch midrange, dual 8-inch woofers — with the kind of coherence between drivers that makes the crossover points effectively disappear. It wants a capable amplifier; the 4-ohm load and modest sensitivity reward proper power. Give it what it needs and it disappears into the music.

We offer a 3-day return window on all purchases. Returns made to a credit or debit card will incur a 5 percent processing fee. Shipping costs, both to and from, are the responsibility of the customer if applicable.
After the 3-day window and up to 3 weeks from the date of purchase, items may still be returned, subject to a 20 percent restocking fee.
For shipped orders, customers must notify us within 3 days of receiving the item to initiate a return. Once the item is received back in the same condition it was sent, we will issue a refund minus all shipping charges and a 5 percent credit card processing fee.
