AudioQuest JitterBug USB Noise Filter — Dual-Line Conditioning

The JitterBug is a passive USB filter that plugs directly into any USB port and addresses two separate problems simultaneously: noise on the power line and noise on the data line. Both are real, both are audible, and both are present in every computer USB output to varying degrees. The dual-line conditioning circuit — no active components, no power required — reduces the RF noise that computer motherboards generate and couple onto the USB bus, which reaches the DAC as jitter artifacts and elevated noise floor.

The argument is simple. USB was designed to transfer data between computers and peripherals, not to serve as a low-noise audio interface. The power and data lines share a conductor environment with every other process running on the motherboard. A USB DAC downstream of a computer is receiving a noisy signal regardless of the DAC's quality. The JitterBug goes between the computer and the DAC — or into a second USB port on the same computer to further reduce system noise — and cleans what the computer is putting on the line before it reaches the converter.

We offer a 3-day return window on all purchases. Returns made to a credit or debit card will incur a 5 percent processing fee. Shipping costs, both to and from, are the responsibility of the customer if applicable.

After the 3-day window and up to 3 weeks from the date of purchase, items may still be returned, subject to a 20 percent restocking fee.

For shipped orders, customers must notify us within 3 days of receiving the item to initiate a return. Once the item is received back in the same condition it was sent, we will issue a refund minus all shipping charges and a 5 percent credit card processing fee.
