Eggleston Works Fontaine II
The Eggleston Works Fontaine II is a remarkably elegant and musical floorstander that embodies the ethos of refined performance. Though compact in stature, the Fontaine II delivers a dynamic and expressive presentation by leveraging a transmission line design—a hallmark of Eggleston’s engineering heritage. With a 1-inch fabric dome tweeter flanked by dual 6-inch mid/woofers, it offers exceptional clarity, depth, and tonal balance. The Fontaine II maintains the brand’s reputation for combining aesthetic poise with sonic integrity, producing a soundstage that outpaces its physical footprint. In Stereophile’s review, the speaker impressed listeners with presence and “pep and energy,” even when pushed in demanding passages.
