DeVore Fidelity Silverback Floorstanding Speakers — Pair
John DeVore builds speakers in Brooklyn, and the design logic that runs through everything he makes is the same: high efficiency, wide baffle, paper cone drivers, and a presentation tuned to work with the amplifiers that most manufacturers ignore — low-powered single-ended triode designs where the first watt is the only watt that matters. The Silverback sits at the top of that lineage.
High sensitivity means the amplifier's job gets easier and the speaker's relationship to the room becomes more revealing. DeVore designs for that — the dynamics open up at low volumes, the soundstage is wide and stable, and the tonal character leans warm and present without softening transients. These are not speakers that make poor sources sound acceptable. They are speakers that make good sources sound like the reason you started doing this.
Cabinet work is serious — the fit and finish reflects a maker who thinks of the speaker as an object as much as an instrument. Designed in Brooklyn, built to a standard that holds up at the price.
