Arcam AV41 Preamplifier/Processor
The AV41 is Arcam's statement on what a surround processor should be when the engineering isn't compromised for price. 15.4 channel processing — Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, DTS:X Pro, and Auro-3D handled natively. Dirac Live room correction built in at the full license level, not a stripped version. HDMI 2.1 inputs with 8K/4K HDR passthrough. Balanced XLR outputs across all 15 channels, because Arcam built this to feed serious amplification.
The DAC implementation uses ESS Sabre converters throughout — one per channel, not a shared chip handling multiple outputs. The analog output stage reflects the Cambridge engineering background: quiet, resolved, with the dynamic headroom that separates a real processor from a receiver's preamp section dressed up and sold separately.
This is a component separate, not a receiver. It does one thing: process and route audio at a level that justifies the amplifiers you put downstream. For a system built around multi-channel separates — Arcam's own PA240 blocks, or anything else worth feeding — the AV41 is the correct center of gravity.

We offer a 3-day return window on all purchases. Returns made to a credit or debit card will incur a 5 percent processing fee. Shipping costs, both to and from, are the responsibility of the customer if applicable.
After the 3-day window and up to 3 weeks from the date of purchase, items may still be returned, subject to a 20 percent restocking fee.
For shipped orders, customers must notify us within 3 days of receiving the item to initiate a return. Once the item is received back in the same condition it was sent, we will issue a refund minus all shipping charges and a 5 percent credit card processing fee.
