AudioQuest Carbon USB — A to B, 10ft
The Carbon sits near the top of AudioQuest's USB cable lineup. Solid Long-Grain Copper conductors, silver-plated contacts, Hard Cell Foam insulation, and a separate ground conductor that keeps the signal and power paths isolated — the design detail that matters most in a USB audio cable, since shared signal/power conductors are a primary source of noise in cheaper USB connections.
USB A to B is the standard DAC connection — A plug at the source (computer, streamer, server), B plug at the DAC input. Ten feet is a long run for USB audio, useful when the source and DAC aren't on the same rack or when the computer is across the room. AudioQuest specifies directionality on the Carbon — there's a signal flow arrow on the cable, and it should be observed.
