KEF has built their reputation on the Uni-Q driver — a coincident point source array where the tweeter fires from the acoustic center of the midrange cone, making the two drivers behave as a single source across their shared bandwidth. The R7 Meta is the current evolution of that approach in the R Series, and the "Meta" designation marks a meaningful technical addition: Metamaterial Absorption Technology, a labyrinthine structure mounted behind the tweeter that absorbs 99% of the rearward radiation from the dome rather than letting it reflect back through the cone and color what you hear. The result is measurably lower distortion in the critical midrange-tweeter transition region.
Three-way floorstander. 12th-generation Uni-Q array handles midrange and high frequencies, two 6.5-inch Hyper-Rigidity Hybrid Aluminium bass drivers handle the bottom end. Rear-firing ports. 87 dB sensitivity into 8 ohms — they're not demanding, but they reward better amplification and benefit from some room to breathe away from the rear wall.

We offer a 3-day return window on all purchases. Returns made to a credit or debit card will incur a 5 percent processing fee. Shipping costs, both to and from, are the responsibility of the customer if applicable.
After the 3-day window and up to 3 weeks from the date of purchase, items may still be returned, subject to a 20 percent restocking fee.
For shipped orders, customers must notify us within 3 days of receiving the item to initiate a return. Once the item is received back in the same condition it was sent, we will issue a refund minus all shipping charges and a 5 percent credit card processing fee.
