Luxman CL-35II
The Luxman CL-35 II is a vintage Japanese tube control preamplifier from the early 1970s that blends elegance, flexibility, and remarkable audio refinement. Its circuitry features the K-KNF three-stage equalizer (also used in the Marantz 7), with selectable tone curves and filters (low-cut, high-cut), plus a cathode follower output stage for low impedance and stable signal transmission. Equipped with both phono (MM/MC via step-up transformer), several auxiliary inputs, microphone input, tape monitoring and dubbing functions, it delivers a full suite of analog connectivity. Tubes (notably multiple 12AX7s and one 12AU7) drive its circuits, contributing warmth, harmonic richness, and that classic Luxman mid-range beauty.
