The Raven Two is the dual-motor version of the Raven platform — two motors driving the heavy machined platter in opposition to one another, canceling the mechanical noise each would introduce individually and lowering the noise floor of the drive system to a point that single-motor belt drives don't reach. The platter mass is substantial by design: rotational inertia resists speed variation the way a flywheel resists changes in velocity, and the Raven's bearing is machined to the tolerances required to let that mass spin without introducing its own noise. The TW 10.5\" tonearm is TW Acustic's own design, straight-tube gimbal-mounted with precision ball bearings selected and adjusted individually during production, magnetic antiskating adjustable during playback. The tonearm was designed for this table and the effective mass is matched to the cartridges that belong on a turntable at this level.
